How to Light a Bunsen Burner (Click on image to enlarge.)
1. Gas valve in OFF position; 2. Bunsen burner connected to gas valve, in ON position; 3 & 4. If lighting with match, run lit match up side of burner stem until gas ignites; 5. Use dial under burner to adjust height of flame.
