Lightning strike to Red Oak, Quercus rubra, affecting the bark, cambium sap layer and sapwood.
Same lightning strike affected two Red Oaks (Quercus rubra), Note bark stripped off both trees and wood fragments on deck railing.
Gnarled tree. Anyone know what this is?
